You will hear stations from the UK on there late at night. ...

Commercial users
I don't tihnk that some of the commercial users of the CB understand radio edicate or know what channels are designated for sertain uses (e.g chnl 5 emerg RPT.) Commerical companys are meant to purchase their own commercial freq or RPT that they can use to communicate amoung workers. However some st...

Re: how long can you transmitt on a uhf cb mobile in one tra
hi all. does any body know how long you can transmitt on a mobile bc radio? can they transmitt for long periods say 5 mins? It all depends how long the timeout on the radio lasts for. Some radios have timeouts like the tait i think its a minute 10 seconds or something. Where as a Uniden 088 will dr...

Looking for a base antenna?
I reccomend All West Communications. They do great deals and have really good service and don't muck you around. I think they might even do delivery if you don't have the able vehicle to go pick it up

Some people sit on the side of chanel 5 repeater and if someone needs help and puts out a call, the sand bagers sometimes lend assistance to the occasional bogged 4x4 stranded somewhere. I have heard some of t...
