NSW Police encryption Cracked !

Interesting story IT was a $22 million encrypted radio system meant to keep police business secret from unwanted eavesdroppers. But hi-tech hackers cracked the system within 12 months, selling off the technology to tow-truck drivers for up to $25,000 a time. In the past weeks police have changed the...

Assults on SJA staff

I am not a regular poster but this is too serious to ignore. I own & run NEWS@NIGHT & have seen the attacks on police, & other emergency personnel, 1st hand. However I had assumed that the law would bring these people to justice. How wrong was I & I was there filming the aftermath of...

In response to the following post. Dear Andre, As for nitenewzcrew username, yes I admit I was pretending to play as a part in been camo and do what you do. That was disrespectful and wrong of me. And I admit lying. So I am posting to let you know I am sorry to you and turbo for pretending to play a...

SOE digital=I walked away because the camera crew were being wankers For the record, I would like to know exactly how the crew were being "Wankers". Was it them doing their job, as opposed to rubber necking. or was it them rendering assistance with lighting for the SJA before filming. As ...

Cheers Tyranus

From what I have read, it does imply you need the ID & group code.
So far (Uniden 996T) I can lock onto broardcasts which give an ID.
Plus a single syllable is often heard before it gets squelched out.

Warning ! Programming Digital Scanners causes Tourette's Syndrome.

Digital Scanners

Please correct me if I'm wrong ! But my understanding is that the police digital system uses: Motorola's APCO 25 also called ASTRO 25 Trunking System. As we all know DSE & others are selling Scanners which are supposedly able to decrypt & track this system. Now here is the big ? I thought th...

Thats the one, I was not filming then. That would have been a fantastic job. They really didn't know if he had ammo or not. There was a guy in USA who welded thick plating to a D12 Dozer. Then went nuts smashing down buildings. The police tried to stop him with a huge grader. But he just pushed it o...
