Looking for an aviation scanner - need a boredom buster

Hey guys, I'm living in Broome now and well there's one police freq up here and as you can imagine, not a lot happens so I'm looking for a cheap or the cheapest aviation scanner around at the moment.

Anyone got any suggestions cause I wouldn't know the first place to start!

Cheers in advance!

Saw one of the aircraft over the Port Kennedy beach going through its paces, man the pilot was throwing it around something cruel. Going to be some really aggressive flying this weekend.

Photo request - Polair helicopters past and present

Guys, I'm trying to find some photos of the old Aerospatiel Twin Squirrel and the BK117.

Oh, if you've got any of the RAC rescue choppers, that'd be great to.

Cheers.

Big earthquake this evening

I keen an eye on a website that tracks earthquakes, seems there was a big one tonight a fair way out in the ocean. Chance are we might see a small tsunami sometime tonight or tomorrow morning. Click the link, if that doesn't work, details are below. http://earthquake.usgs.gov./eqcenter/recenteqsww/M...

If you need to trial yourself on the beep test, go to the defence recuiting site and you can download the test there and go and train for it. Thats what I've done in the past.
