Thanks to eBay, The VHF high band radio is now a Tait TM8200. This increases the number of channels I can scan on that band from 24 to 50.

No reason why it wouldn't work, but for the size of the case you'd definitely need to use an external speaker.

Ok. So will we not be able to hear ESA channel after this has occurred because I usually use this feed to listen to ESA 171? mandurah FRS just referred to 467.6875 as channel 215 but no simplex number was mentioned. but going by what is posted above i guess its simplex 5. Cool. Added to the top post. Listening to a HAZMAT event where I can hear the simplex traffic and sitrep mentions they're using Command 2.

Don't have to go through a Motorola dealer but it's advisable to get this done professionally. You'll need the software, a RIB (Radio Interface Box) and the software.
