Re: All over red rover

Howdy Everyone it's good to be home after so long. Well this news comes as no surprise after all I did tell you in here that M.I.G. was being looked at closely with the view to closing the unit down, and at the time I was talked (yelled is to strong a word) down by both you Chev and B.F. when all I ...

I was there just moments after the crash happend at 6:20 am on the Reid Hwy. The car the 18 year old was driving was a Holden Commodore and not a Honda as reported. He tried turning Reid Hwy into 3 lanes instead of 2. People were still running from their cars to help the drivers involved when I pull...

Does anyone know why?

At 10:20 pm Friday 21/4/07 A Qantas 747 300 aborted an approach for Perth. I was out at the Airport and noticed it was inbound on finals from the north when all of a sudden there was a mighty roar of engines the wheels went up (landing lights went out) and it started climbing while turning right and...

COPS manual actually, When given a priority by VKI, The occupants of the Police vehicle given "said priority" will advise VKI of their Class of Vehicle, Class of Driver, and Regimental of the driver. Although not rigidly enforced by VKI this has come about because a number of Police office...

Well I wouldn't expect anymore insight from me in the near future, as I depart our fair shores in a couple of months for Tokyo where I will be spending roughly the next two to three years studying for my Grand Masters 9th and 10th dan in Judo. To answer B.F.'s question. Recently I was at a bbq where...

Well BF my understanding is no decision has been made and nothing has been set in concrete but if it is as I say it might be, you better get used to driving executives. You can take this as gospel M.I.G. are being looked at very closely by the 6th floor and a decision is likely soon.

Further to my post about the cars I believe this will happen in the coming months and in the not to distant future and one of the main reasons for this is M.I.G. has made themselves so elite that on some shifts they do nothing but drive around and burn fuel. Just out of interest how many BF turbos h...

Any Truth to?

I have heard M.I.G. is to lose 20 officers and it has been suggested from within the section, that the uniform officers depart M.I.G. leaving only the detectives. I have also been told that a number of the BF turbos at M.I.G. have been damaged and that because T.E.G. are increasing their numbers by ...

Talking about Category A, B, C, and Priority 1, 2, et'c prompts me to ask a question from observations I have made of late. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I don't think I am. In the last (say the last 2 to 3 years) I have noticed that when the cops on the road call for "urgent...

Over the years there has been a number of different formats with regard to Category A, B, C, I remember when there was a fourth one "The Special Category" which in an extreme emergency could be applied and used by any vehicle owned or operated by the Police Service. One such occasion that ...

With respect Chev I would dispute your comment that Cadcom died 5 years ago. Only one facet of Cad died. Every Police Station in the metro area uses Cadlite while VKI and I think (not sure about this) the PAC use Cad Premium. I would back my comment up with, when a vehicle (certainly the bikes) book...

I think the logical answer is while the analogue network is linked to the digital network one can still listen however once the analogue network is shutdown and the digital is encrypted I doubt anyone will be able to so I take the above post with a grain of salt.

B.F. Thanks for that as I said I wasn't sure and it was best considered by those who apply the law every day.

Hi and Happy New Year Everyone I agree with Danny I think posting number plates of plain cars is irresponsible and possibly (personal opinion here) verges on either hinder or obstruction given the intent of the Police Service and what has resulted here. I would be interested in a response from eithe...
