Any new frequencies for 2014?
Hello all, After awhile off the radar, I have got back into scanning again, but found lots my old lists have become redundant or the organisations have gone digital/encrypted! Does anyone have any new suggested interesting frequencies to listen around Perth? I've hit a blank on ACMA database and thi...

Re: Motorola XTS3000 programming
Thanks for the replies. I already had a look around Google but failed to find any proper software to download for the XTS3000. Also I have heard horror stories from others about buying programming cables thru Ebay which may still turn out to be the wrong cable or versions. Hence thought it would be ...

Motorola XTS3000 programming
Hello,
I purchased a used Motorola XTS3000 which comes preprogrammed with 80 CB channels.
However I would like to add some extras such as CTSS functionality to it.
Anyone know of a good place in Perth I can get my radio programmed for such things?
Many thanks,
AL

Fantastic photos nachoman! Especially love the shot of the unmarked Rex.
Still not sure if I like the new police livery. Maybe if they got rid of the orange or yellow stripe...

Nice photos!
I'm all for safety and high visibility, but there's just too much going on with the mix of colours on the new police colour scheme. Is this for all vehicles or just another trial? Remove the fluro or orange stripes and should look alot better.

Re: Transperth security officer left red-faced
The officers definitely will have some explaining to do back at the office.
Transperth Security seem to use a variety of cars - Hyundai Sonata, Holden Epica, Holden Cruze, Toyota Camry. That's what I've seen so far.

Re: Railway patrol
Yes, I remember when Secureforce used magenta lights back in the late 90's. They had a brief contract with the City of Belmont and had magenta lightbars on Ford Falcons which were designed like a U.S. police car in blue and white with their badge on the door. When they first got the Transperth contr...

Is anyone able to record and upload tonight's channel 7 program Today Tonight special on the new speed cameras and handheld lasers? I'm really keen to watch it, but will be stuck at work and don't have a recorder
Thanks!

Re: Volkswagen Jetta
Yes, I have seen the car you mention with the hard hat... a silk/silver BF Falcon. Surprised they didnt notice all the antennas on the back of it. Seen a fair few unmarked Subaru Imprezas around. Very nice looking machine, but arent the WRX's manual only? Also noticed more Commodores and Falcons now...

Re: University Security
Wow, they must go thru a new paint scheme and vehicle model every few years. I remember they used to drive Rav4s with the huge "Security" lettering splashed across the back end or the older green livery. They also only used an amber lightbar which could only flash together with the hazards...

Re: Ranger vehicles
I've seen a Ford BF ute Canning ranger with lights activated. The LED matrix sign flashed "SECURITY". Not sure why they need the fancy LED sign if it isn't programmed to show anything else. They do have legit reasons for the amber lightbar though, such as warning of hazards on the roads et...

Melville rangers operate on 463.650 and 464.000. Their security patrols use PTT. South Perth rangers operate on 471.300 and 471.600. Canning rangers and patrols operate on 465.675 and 466.600. Vic Park rangers operate on 159.125 and 163.725. Bayswater rangers and patrols do have radios, but I still ...
