Oh goody Hitman is back in town. Do espouse your wisdom to us poor uneducated folk as you seem to know it all. I await with baited breath for more of your "One time in band camp" stories you are so good at. By the way what are we today a doorman, auto engineer or maybe an astronaut? The ma...

I concur with Walks on this. My ears pricked up to a recent post by JG-103 in regards to a pursuit with an XR6 ute in Willagee, Post was dated 29/6 under pursuit section. JG-103 mentions that he did not have his scanner. I found this curious because he mentions how the stolen vehicle almost took out...

Personally I think things like parking infront of multi's and not issuing fines are childish activites. I think the pay dispute should be solved by due process not acting like kids.[/quote]

and Fozzy with an attitude like that thankfully you will be never more than a public servant.

Ok JG-103 so if you heard it on the scanner at what point did they go back to the BP? The BP servo was the one on Canning Hwy in Ardross and the chase ended in South Perth near the Shell. :?:

Fastlane, yes I would agree about education or lack thereof. Unfortunatley as with most people in society a large number of our perceptions are developed from what we see on TV and movies. Of course very movie with a police car has them using lights and sirens to go fast. Like everything we shouldn'...

not every person drives around with a scanner quizzing whether police cars can speed or not either. Policing has to be the one job where everybody thinks they know how something should be done. For some reason I don't see people querying their mechanic about "should you be doing that" when...

For ease of understanding: Priorities are a departmental thing, they are not law and are used for internal management, ie you can be disciplined but it does not cover things such as traffic infringements in relation to speeding. 280 of the RTC is law and as long as you are performing your duties the...

:D In the city POCCC (Police Operations Centre Communications Controller) can authorise a vehicle to exceed 140kph. POCCC is an Inspectors job but there are a couple of acting ones at the moment. They have the same authority as a real inspector except for authorisation of hoon seizures. In the count...

A fatal will be despatched as a *15 and priority determined by POC. When they switched from CDS to CAD a number of job codes were dumped to streamline the system. On CDS the first prefix generally did not bear to much resemblance to the task itself. The main difference with CAD is that the first pre...

Yep still is part of the lingo much like you hear the even older coppers use the term Ward 19 to signal a fatal.

So yes it is still used as a term but as a job code the 16 doesn't exist for CAD purposes.
