Millar rd 2nd alarm scrub + 50 rd 3rd alarm truck fire
gday guys, just some pics of a few incidents that we had on the 9/12/09 millsy and myself were first on scene to the truck fire. immediately calling rockingham 1st out aswell sorry bout quality of pics. camera phone plus working would do that to you. enjoy. millar rd, looking toward incident control...

Rocky 1st + Baldivis Crew at truck fire on fifty rd. i heard 2 different types. the first was teh transmission with the crackle, but then what sounded like someone typing in numbers on a phone, very slowly but. the next about 2 minutes later was a long beep asif they were holding the button. this went on for about a minute and 6AR were not happy. you ...

heard it today. its definitely not morse.
it sounds exactly like pressing in numbers on your phone
6AR just told everyone on ch55 to check there mic as there was a prolonged beep.

Baldivis had another incident last night. as soon as we were stood down from dixon road fire at 4am we were called to a vehicle fire on baldivis rd. think it made 2nd alarm.

yeh we have zone 2 response areas around here. not 100% sure of where but i would guess the swamps maybe a good guess. The Swamps are not officially zone 2 response but expect your pager to go off if there is one in the swamps, even tho the 2 big ones are not in your area, you will be there smithy....

I think the theory is that with certain areas around the metro area its much better to mobilise more resources and stand them down rather then get there and have to wait for them.

where as a structure call in Rockingham will see a 2 brigade (Rockingham and hope valley) 3 pump turn out all under firecall until the first appliance arrives and says either yay keep coming or neigh go home.
