Bus radio control room
Hi, does anyone know if there is a central radio dispatch control room for the Transperth busses or are they all spread out? The reason I ask is I've noticed a certain set of talkgroup ID's that drivers communicate with often, I've filled it details with what I've overheard. Con+, 1, 80011, 50, Norm...

Re: WA GRN testing
There have been a lot of licenses moved out of the 400Mhz range in WA to clear the way for the nation wide Harmonized Government Spectrum. So far it's been pretty empty there and one day I saw a WAPOL P25 control channel and traffic channel pop up. Must just be for testing currently as those frequen...

Re: Returning to Scanning
Hi Dale Welcome back to radio. Things have changed a bit, quite a few analogue systems have either gone quiet or migrated to digital. Just did a google and looks like your scanner can do digital, P25 at least out of the box, DMR and NXDN however they want you to cough up some more $$, typical right?...

DSD+ Frequencies and groups files
Hi all, has anyone started building a DSD+ frequencies and groups file for systems in Perth?
This is a good overview of how it works for the curious.

Re: Anyone want to go Radiosonde hunting?
HI Yes, launches seem to happen around 0715hrs/1915hrs or +15 minutes depending on air traffic from what I've seen. To track and chase I've used the radiosonde_auto_rx and chasemapper on a pi, but any Linux distro would work a laptop or NUC maybe. https://github.com/projecthorus/radiosonde_auto_rx T...

Anyone want to go Radiosonde hunting?
After lockdown obviously. Anyone interested in hunting and retrieving the radiosondes launched from Perth Airport twice a day? The trouble is the majority of them are currently landing in the bushland in the hills. Most of the roads near by are dirt roads and you'd need a 4x4 to access, and I don't ...

Re: Anything in Perth that used LRRP
Try 491.2625MHz. This is the NXDN4800 signal, that lines up with the my log files, however I'm not seeing any LRRP currently. https://web.acma.gov.au/rrl/licence_search.licence_lookup?pLICENCE_NO=1933525/1 Also in my logs I found a lot of position reports inside whiteman park, if I remember correct ...

Re: Anything in Perth that used LRRP
I have picked up something before, it appeared to be security cars. The reports were coming in quite regularly but for the life of me I can't find the signal again. I have a fuzzy memory that it was an NXDN4800 network, but could have been DMR. However I was monitoring the DMR station I thought it w...

Re: Swan taxi data channels
Sounds like it, to me it looks like some sort of high speed FSK. The low-high transition could be for frame sync.
