Tracking of Fire Appliances
Is there any way you can extract the GPS tail that is sent after a transmission on the 6IP/6AR network by using a SDR (Software Defined Radio)
Thats if they still send the GPS location of the appliance over the radio

I am just waiting for some of the hardware to arrive from china. Once that has arrived i will work out an adapter to connect an antenna to the DVB dongle.

Re: Multiple streams from one SDR
Hi,
I am setting up a SDR running off a raspberry pi and i was wondering what is a good antenna to use that will help me pick up DFES streams and also i might use it to decode the pager messages.

Re: Antenna and Magnetic Base to suit Vertex Handheld
UHF or VHF version? Mag bases generally take grounded antennas and you place the mag base o...

Re: Antenna and Magnetic Base to suit Vertex Handheld

Antenna and Magnetic Base to suit Vertex Handheld
Hi,
I am looking somewhere to purchase a magnetic base and antenna to suit a vertex handheld. The frequencies I will be using to receive and transmit on are the DFES Waern channels. Can anyone recommend a good magnetic base and antenna to suit the Waern frequencies.
Thanks
