What would be the benefit of DFES going digital? Is it purely to stop people from listening in? Awesome! So that means I can grab a male SMA terminator, some good co-axial cable and connect it to a real antenna?
I don't have a car, but having a collapsible high gain directional antenna for bushwalking in the middle of nowhere would be a godsend.

I heard it on Tuesday night, it was faint, but audible on PER08
I was out on my handheld, so I had no recording gear of it.

Hmm. My place of work has 3 sets of thick internal walls. My handheld scanner can't listen through them.

Audacity has that feature as well, which is why I strongly recommend it over paid software.vk6hgr wrote:...der is that it doesn't record the dead air between transmissions.
