Re: Helitak Thread

There were a couple (673 and 674 plus maybe others) circling around the Beechboro area from around 9:30am this morning, doing drops somewhere to the East, but couldn't figure out from the radio traffic where they were.
They had it under control & headed back to Jandakot around 10am.

Fire to the West of the main Parkerville fire, near intersection of Oxley Rd and Alexandra Rd.
Parkerville Control has requested this to be treated as separate to the main fire.

Re: RESCUE 65 Observations

Looks like VH-EWA is on its way back here now - nachoman's link ( http://flightaware.com/live/flight/VHEWA ) shows it crossed the Nullarbor and is back in WA as of a few hours ago.

Re: Helitak Thread

I just saw at least 3 Helitaks filling up at the dam near the Reid Highway/Tonkin Highway intersection - and a smoke plume to the North.

Re: VH-FNY radio problems

That's where I got the alert :) I clicked the link on twitter and was surprised to be looking at a map of Perth, and even more surprised to realise the data came from my ADS-B feed into FR24... ( I'm radar YPPH-2 ) I then tuned into Numloxx's liveatc feed in time for the plane to get landi...

I got an alert that FNY (a Skywest Fokker 100) was squawking 7600 (radio problems) It managed to get clearance to land, but is currently causing problems on the ground as it's a) not able to get directions to its bay and b) has an open mike causing Perth Tower to have intermittent problems communica...

Re: PlanePlotter

You may also want to check out Virtual Radar Server - which plots ADS-B data on Google maps for you, and can be set up to show silhouettes and airline logos for the planes
