It'll be interesting to see how they get through traffic when its all blocked up. Thought they would have had a P1 or P2 set-up.

Re: DEC Environment vehicle
If anyones interested... a certain someone put a sticker on this about 3 weeks ago. The driver knew that it was illegal. Apparently the lightbar had been taken off an old ranger vehicle.

Transport Inspector vehicles do have LEDs at the rear of the pod but not red, magenta. Looks very purple at night.

Re: Random Youtube finds while at work
I have been in a position to see officers of WAPOL use force through my previous employment in the Security Unit at Royal Perth Hospital (where we handcuffed people with all sorts of broken bones quite regularly, as per SOPs) and also quite a far bit when i was a transit officer. So please dont thin...

Re: Random Youtube finds while at work
WOW... You know what though, im not surprised. In my opinion (and im really sorry if this comes accross as unjustified or offensive) this looks like the same quality of policing i have seen here recently... They do not commit fully when they apply force, they are reactive not proactive, they appear ...

Re: Main Roads WA Traffic Escorts
Not the only non-emergency vehicles to have red and blues. The WAPOL traffic escort vehicles were not emergency vehicles. Customs and border protection vehicles are not emergency vehicles. PTA delta vehicles (which have red lights) are not emergency vehicles. Apparently the WAPOL traffic escorts ref...

Re: Main Roads WA Traffic Escorts
Apparently WAPOL doesnt want to give up the function cos it makes so much $$$$$. Main Roads traffic escorts being trained up at the moment by the manager of the WAPOL traffic escorts section. Not sure when the changeover will be complete but will be interesting to see how the public interact with th...

Main Roads WA Traffic Escorts
Main Roads WA have taken over the oversize escort function from WAPOL. Saw one of the new cars today. They'r marked up like Transport Inspector vehicles but with "Traffic Escort" written on the sides and red and blue lights. Look really good.
Will put some photos up soon.

Unmarked transport inspectors vehicle in a chase last Thursday on Grt Northern Hwy near Bullsbrook... chasing down a nissan patrol with what looked like planks of wood unrestrained on the back. Lots of flashing lights but no siren, going pretty fast through traffic. Guy didnt look like he wanted to ...

Re: Abandoned vehicle
Most local governments allow businesses and strata companies to enter into agreements enabling the local government to enforce its local laws on their land (usually carparks). When I was a ranger we had an agreement with a strata company in Maylands and we regularly entered onto their property (a la...

New 'Railway Patrol' Vehicle
Hey folks, I saw what appeared to be a new vehicle being used by Transit Officers. It was marked up as "Railway Patrol". It was white with a duel cab + prisoner pod... looked exactly like the one currently being used by WAPOL. Didnt have enough time to take a photo though. Will seek out on...
