yeah i was listening at work yesterday (base operator for towing company )and radio workshop was asking for radio checks for the new system to be honest i liked the way the old beeps were the sellcalls from DS end almost sound like they are of freq cause ya get a slight echo with it

yeah i heard the end of it and heard the tazzar bit had a good laugh at that and thanks antt for filling in the blanks

is it me or does the new ambos system sound weird with sellcalls and the priority1 beeps

1 one spotted not that long ago under mount henery bridge traffic cars asked to go over the bridge to look and see if they could see it

its been happening on and of all morning on several ch since 7 am when i started work

yeah they use uhf hand helds those cheap 40ch jobs and unidens in there cars they mainly use ch 4 simplex which is a bitch when there is an inversion and you cant talk to any one cause they wont change ch

yeah well tell me bout it i got arrested 2 yrs ago for trying to tell them that they were on uhf cb and that any one could use it and i went down there to prove it to them and got arrested they were using icom handhelds at the time and who ever programmed them told them it was a commercial freq and ...

yes the airport do use uhf cb with subtone and yes they get very upset when you get on there subtone and tell them they are using cb as they think its a private ch they use ch 20 21 22 23 24 25 26
