ADR's state the speedometer is not allowed to read less than than the actual speed. Most car speedo's read 6% fast (as allowed by ADR's) but you will usually find the odometer says the correct distance. It is always safer to travel at the indicated speed. You will probably find you are suffering from Cross Modulation caused by the huge amount of RFI in the city. It takes a very good receiver not to suffer that and the pager interference.

There are a, b, and c channels also licensed by the shires that have different ctcss frequencies so the fire guys dont have to put up with shire traffic but the shire can come on board if needed. These are having to be factored by the project team.

Foxtel have always had problems with RFI. They bought out a modified wall socket that was grounded via a three pin plug to the mains earth (not Ideal but it worked). Only selected FESA vehicles have Govt plates. Most have normal plates.

You can attain full wave rectification with two diodes and a centre tapped transformer as well

HF is used for communication with country SES. In some areas with the other DM's.

Most regional office have HF. The South West has a base but no vehicles have HF.
