Thats what I thought. Most of the DFES command channels are fairly low range from memory.

I see that South Coogee has moved to a new location near Cockburn Central, are they a very busy brigade?

They are very close to Jandakot.

Re: Update of One stop FESA info

How busy is Oakford BFB as a brigade?

Might be building in their area and could look at getting back into it the next 12-18 months.

Re: legality of calling ambulances

You'd find most of the time they'll find some ID or the police will tell them who you are if it's from a crash etc.

Re: BFB/VFRS fitness test

I think it's fair for volunteers to have a reasonable level of fitness when operating on a fire ground.

ACT Rural Fire Service.

To be operational in a turn out crew you must pass the fitness test before each season.

Re: BFB/VFRS fitness test

Moderate is 3.2km in 30 minutes with an 11kg pack or weight vest
Arduous is 4.8km in 45 minutes with a 20kg pack or weight vest.

To be active on a truck you must qualify at moderate at a minimum.

BFB/VFRS fitness test

Just out of interest, do volunteer Firefighters in WA have to do a yearly fitness test?

Eastern states volunteers have to pass a basic fitness test each year before each fire season.
