In NSW the Traffic Emergency Patrol already have RED/BLUE etc. I think its a good idea as it will free up Police from some traffic control duites. This is what the HERO system is based on. After all this is a Main Roads Resposiblity. http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/484/insiderearofvan5wg.jpg http...

Walks I take it your in the job? I actually saw a pursuit unravel today, a TE Vehicle chased a yellow subaru down South St onto Stock Rd in Oconner before it rolled on Forrest Rd in Bibra Lake. When the vehicle passed me it was doing unreal speeds but to their credit the TE boys/girls were right up ...

Because HERO's are responding to an incident, they are dispatched by the TOC and requsted by the Police VIA the TOC. Towies listen to a scanner and then respond illegally, acting on information they have heard, they are just annoying. Transit Guards have red light fastlane, I would know as I was a T...

By the Police not chasing offenders it sends a message to these dregs that they can get away with it. I say chase the crooks, obviously if it safe to do so. Most Police Officers have common sence and would not be chasing cars through shopping centre carparks. I say it is WRONG for the Police pursue ...

Secureforce had red lights on a couple of their vehicles until they received yellow stickers. Transit Guards have red lights on the patrol vehicles and are emergency vehicles for attending jobs on the Railways. The HERO's will become the HMA for any incident on Main Roads, they are operated from the...

I think there is a need for Polair61 or at least a designated helicopter. An example I can use is during a pursuit officers often end up chasing offenders through bushland at night, Polair61 has infra-red devices for finding offenders and a night-sun for making the night turn into day. A fixed wing ...
