Hi All, Just a heads up. The paperwork has been started to get the next instalment for the APRS network happening. The site is at Ghooli. About 5 kms east of Southern Cross. Very high site and should talk back to VK6RKN-3. Config this time will be an OT3m, Simoco SRM9000 and a Diamond F23 at about 1...

All,

Jono 6NDT and I have planned to replace the single folded dipole on VK6RTP Tom Price with a new Diamond F22 when I fly back up in a week. With that sort of gain and 1130m AMSL we are hoping to see some activity. Keep an ear out for it on 146.625.

Hi Rick, If I have done my sums right, it should have direct coverage to Tic Hill and GTN should hit it full time. The Diamond F23 antenna , I have found, to be an absolute pearler for distance. Granted I need to find the right locations to make sure the signal doesn't go over the top. I think with ...

All, I am putting together all the gear to test from Lesueur National Park just north of the Jurien Bay road. The site is 300 mtrs AMSL and will use the same antenna and height as TNC and try to access thru Tic Hill. It's near on half way to Geraldton and appears to be the highest hill between PTH a...
