It's illegal to own a tranciever that allows transmission on any frequencies where you aren't a license holder.

So like yorky said above, if it can TX outside the Australian UHF CB band you are in trouble as you mentioned in the other thread that you don't have any licenses.

Anyone got good freqs for buses around the CBD? Even just north (Mirabooka?) and south of the city would be fine.

I've been listening to those freq's above all afternoon and all I'm hearing is some sort of shuttle/limo service picking up people from all random suburbs and dropping them off at the airport... there was one person who was getting dropped off at Subi oval but it's certainly not the Subi rangers/par...

The frequencies in my above post are all active tonight - they are 1W repeaters on the light towers so you'd have to be reasonably close to Subi to hear it. On 464.450 (security channel) they are currently having some major issues with either some staff accidently holding in the button and dropping ...

I just use cruise control wherever I go.

Obviously it's not much good down St Georges Tce but no issues on most major roads.

Also if you're running Windows 7 make sure you have all the latest Windows Updates.

A fresh install of Win7 nets WA as having DST when we don't, but it's corrected in a patch.

Yeah... don't catch the train alone after 7pm unless you're waiting at a staffed station. I learnt that lesson a while back by getting the stuffing belted out of me at West Leederville station. I know it's late but I'm listening to the scanner in bed and it seems that there is quite a large section of track without power right now. Metro Control are extremely busy sorting out trains and stopping them at certain stations and the transit guards aren't sure what's going on (neither am I to be...
