The 4x4s that you see with the LED bars are called HEROS they are funded by main roads. They basicly go to where there are accidents of rd works or obstructions and help clear traffice they work on freeways and hwys only

Yeah they do the whole lot on the WASCC side of things but if another org hires the track they can use who they want. I have actually driven a patrol LT they have heaps more grunt and can keep up with scanias quite well as opposed to the landcruiser. Yeah i know the place was gutted.. A BFS members house to very sad. Quite a few big wigs and fellow VFRS and BFS members arrived to give support.
