I know this is a few month old but I do have 4 SDR devices including the one you have. I do pick up a fair bit with this unit. The reason this one is dearer is that it has HF.

Panigale to reset the 396xt to the factory default
Turn off the scanner. Then press 2, 9, and Hold while turning it on.

hi there! im in gero as well mate. ive got a uniden bearcat ubc60ct here that a guy wants me to set the frequencies on, frankly i have no idea at all at the moment ha! if you have any freqs for the gero area do you think you could post them for me? it would save me heaps of bungling. regards,redroo...

Good to see some panoramic photo's its really hard to make good panoramic photo when there is a lot of movement in the photo then its hard to stitch them together without seeing errors. important to have your camera in manual settings so there is no changes in each photo. try doing a panoramic photo...
