Typically PH APP - only controls up to around 45nm on descent/climb out from PH - outside of that (in PH) you are on ML CTR

Morse Code is a requirement... Well my friend - you are being taught the wrong thing. No where in the rules and regs are you required to know morse code. You dont need to know it - that is why the morse ident is on the charts. Trust me my friend - if morse was a requirement - there would be a short...

Morse code is a part of private pilots licence training No - morse code is not a part of getting your private pilots licence [-X - where did you get that info from :?: There is no requirement for a PPL to have knowledge of morse or use of navigation aids. Not true - there are some Class C aerodromes that do have their own NDB. Cairns, Adelaide Canberra, Gold Coast - the list keeps going - anyway.... With regards to the range - 75nm - where did you get that range from ... ?? Nafenn - It all depends on the alt of the aircraft and the power of the trans...

Hi There

Looking at a all mode radio soon and trying to decide on which rig to get. I am hoping to mount it in the car with the option to move it into the office when at home for days.

I think you will find that the 190 can carry a good load (pax/cargo)
