That looks to me like a Sikorsky S-62. Looks a lot like a Sea King, especially at the front, but the Sea King is a longer version of this aircraft. The Sea King also has two engines, the S-62 has one. You'll probably find there is not one single mechanical part common to both aircraft. The S-62 was...

Yer had just been upto Joondalup and was listening in the car. Sounds like a total nightmare  poor VKI trying to deal with everything, really surprised they didn't put it on ch 26 or something. Well over a dozen cars involved.

Old news I think, abc news online only reported on it several hours ago but radio news had it this morning. Said "a body was found in the gardens of Maylans library on Guildford RD in the early hours of today". Right next to the Maylands police station..hehee (although I don't think they u...

Superb pic nachoman. Interestingly the rims on it aren't the same colour as mine they appear to be more of a gun-metal grey colour. I've never seen those colour rims on an SV6 before. Myabe they are just dirty but the rear rims are the same....?? cheers Tom Yep sure does look like brakedust from he...

WPXZBP, keep up the great work. Just a couple of corrections which are mostly my own fault for not being clear with details. The rodeo's in Gero are 4wd, 107 is a ford not landcruiser and all there fords have cages not pods. Also seen another FR201 white VZ with VLB although once again not sure of i...

Sounds like to many people don't really understand the dangers and difficulty in driving under "emergency" conditions. Although FESA like to send a lot of jobs and vehicles out with lights and sirens (I remember even seeing a FESA mechanic driving with lights and sirens once  ) Ambo...

Nice pic, wonder how it handles?

Was speaking to a friend a while back who said driving the fords was tricky at times, heavy under brakes and difficult in corners and thats why they were looking at other setups.

Certainly looks smart.

Midwest Region Rescue Chopper

Usual red tape and bull sh@t politics but looks like there's a new chopper in WA for medical rescues. Its definately been given the all clear to be used with anything to do with the cyclones around at the moment (mainly medical jobs in flooded areas) as thats funded by the Fed gov. Unfortunately eve...
