I probably would have been a bit concerned earlier but as I have not flown for a while and will probably not be flying for a couple of months I'm not going to panic. My initial cause for concern was if I can tell an adult exactly what to say on the radio in 8 words or less and within 5 seconds they'...

I believe malaga is due for their pump soon after Midland have completely taken their new pump and are happy with it. But the vehicles are coming from a government department so things do change.

As a firefighter on the ground, has anyone thought of how all of us on the fireground are supposed to clear the drop zone when the DC - 10 is inbound? I'm told its bad enough being dumped on by a helitak! I would suggest they wouldn't used it with fire fighters on the ground in the drop zone.. If t...

Something happened in Guildford, had bassendean run a red light at Guildford Rd x Lord st, I followed until the turned right not long after Alfred's Kitchen and headed towards the Polo Cross fields.

The DC10 cannot provide the same accuracy at putting water on a fire as the Helitacs or fixed wing waterbombers can do. It's like trying to compare a smart weapon like a cruise missile to a WW2 bomber. The DC10 would only be effective in very rural settings. When protecting houses the water bombing...
