Andrews & Prestidge are not Icom australia dealers at all and if something is faulty with the radio icom will not even look at it and the cost can be very high to get it fixed and a long wait to fix the radio and thats what comes down too you save a few dollars but it could be a big hassel later...

I got the Alinco-DJX2000 and my AOR/GRE/ICOM/UNIDEN portable radios pick up better signals than the Alinco and i have got a lot of different portable antennas. I have been buying Icom for over 25 years and i find its easy to use a radio hands on instead of reading the manual.

Doug the only trouble i have with radios is reading the manuals and its been about 8 months since i bought an Icom-R9500 receiver and havent even looked the manual.
