Re: Transmitters
Whilst its not my field of expertise I think you are more or less on the right track SOL, the transmitters carrying the tower frequency and ATIS for example are located at the airport up on the control tower. The approach, departure and centre frequencies are transmitted from sites up in Kalamunda a...

Re: Traffic on 135.35
Ive been listening to this frequency since the thread started and I have heard a few constant transmits, the kind you get when there is an open mic, but so far no voice. I did however discover that this frequency is registered to the RFDS with transmitters in Munster and at Jandakot. It is also regi...

Re: Traffic on 135.35
Just did a quick search and found only one registration for that frequency in Australia, that being the Department of Defence, namely the HMAS Albatross tower in Nowra. Possibly you are hearing defence traffic. Just as likely though is as Nafenn suggests, an incorrect dialling of Perth radar 135.25 ...

Re: Repeaters
Hi Nick, The little numbers are just part of the complete frequency step and I think they are displayed this way to keep the display uncluttered, if the frequency ends in zeroes they will not be displayed. Also If you did not get an operating manual with your scanner, you may find this link useful. ...

Re: uniden 92XLT? Can i pick up 6DS frequencies?
The Fire service channels can be a little more interesting listening if you are into that. A 92xlt will also do this for you. If you go ahead and get one let us know and we can help you out with frequencies etc.

Re: Digital scanning
Gday Fitzy ...I was hoping to get feedback from users that actually own and use a digital scanner in Perth, but I guess my question answered itself . I think you are probably right though, a trunk tracking unit is looking like the way to go for me. Cheers

Some I have included are low powered transmitters so depending on where you are situated you may or may not receive them properly. Some may even be data channels...but give them a go and see what yo...
