Re: DEC Fire Vehicles
I have a friend who work's within DEC and he says that they have no need to have sirens as any incidents they usually attend are going well before they attend.
Otherwise like the Pine Plantation its private property and no need to use the vehicles on the road.

I thought that too but it ended up being a ventriloquist fire engine being smart.

Re: DEC Fire Vehicles
Theyre starting to fit some of the metro appliances with sirens from what i hear, but thats just for serious situations requiring swift assistance (ie Rolystone)
Re: DEC Fire Vehicles
I'm actually wondering about sirens as an occ health and safety issue. It makes sense to me to use them to warn people in smokelogged areas at incidents you are moving past them, particularly if you are working in or around noisy and heavy plant. Maybe that doesn't need a full siren, just a simple yelp activated by the horn when the beacons are on would do for me.
