just a quick question,
with the career Country stations, how do they turn out and ect? are there radio coms in town with like a mini network, or all done via mobile phone?

Re: FESA frequencies
Methinks it'd be a call direct to the station from ComCen or a radio call from the District Office.
Re: FESA frequencies
ah ok, sorry i should of changed the wording of my question, what i mean is when they are off station and at a job, do they use the MDT system, and do they radio coms, or use phones?WPXZBP wrote:Methinks it'd be a call direct to the station from ComCen or a radio call from the District Office.

sorry this is an old post, but i was just looking for the UHF Frequency. and you are missing FRS 3 Kalamunda, and FRS 4 Tunnel???(i think that is what its called, i know there is a tunnel question.) so that could be ya other frequency, aslo why is that you cant tune in the FRS channels on scannas???WPXZBP wrote:Did some checking today.
An SES radio I saw recently had the following channels/frequencies...
SES 1: 459.100 MHz (Input for WAPol Ch31)
SES 2: 469.125 MHz (Input for WAPol Ch32)
SES 3: 459.150 MHz (Input for WAPol Ch33)
SES 4: 459.175 MHz (Input for WAPol Ch34)
SES 5: 457.675 MHz (ACMA lists Nowergup and Bremer Bay)
SES 6: 457.725 MHz (ACMA lists Nowergup and Scarborough)
SES 7: 457.975 MHz (ACMA lists Greenmount)
SES 8: 458.225 MHz (ACMA lists Serpentine and Rockingham)
SES 9: 457.325 MHz (ACMA lists Wireless Hill, Ardross)
SES 10: 457.425 MHz (ACMA lists Walliston)
SES 11: 468.600 MHz (Output for WAPol Ch31)
SES 12: 468.625 MHz (Output for WAPol Ch32)
SES 13: 468.650 MHz (Output for WAPol Ch33)
SES 14: 468.675 MHz (Output for WAPol Ch34)
SES 15: 467.175 MHz (ACMA lists Nowergup and Bremer Bay)
SES 16: 467.225 MHz (ACMA lists Nowergup and Scarborough)
SES 17: 467.475 MHz (ACMA lists Greenmount)
SES 18: 467.725 MHz (ACMA lists Serpentine and Rockingham)
SES 19: 466.825 MHz (ACMA lists Wireless Hill, Ardross)
SES 20: 466.925 MHz (ACMA lists Walliston)
EMS A: 458.025 MHz (Emergency Channel A)
EMS B: 458.075 MHz (Emergency Channel A)
FRS 1: 519.625 MHz (UHF Fireground channel 1)
FRS 2: 519.900 MHz (UHF Fireground channel 2)
While looking for Fireground channels on the ACMA database I discovered that there are no allocations in W.A. for 519.900 MHz and that each Career F&RS station in the metropolitan area has a licence for 519.625 MHz and also 472.075 MHz. I've never seen any reference to that channel before but the licence says that FM narrow (F3E) may be used.

The radio programming changes from time to time and not all channels will be needed in all areas.BuddahFRS wrote:sorry this is an old post, but i was just looking for the UHF Frequency. and you are missing FRS 3 Kalamunda, and FRS 4 Tunnel???(i think that is what its called, i know there is a tunnel question.) so that could be ya other frequency, aslo why is that you cant tune in the FRS channels on scannas???
If you're unable to tune the 2 FRS UHF channels in on your scanner, its because the frequency is outside the receive range of your scanner.
(and a belated note, 519.9 IS listed on ACMA database, but a bit tricky to find.. its an Ambulatory (simplex) allocation... http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/licen ... _NO=289007)
Re: FESA frequencies
are the Emergency channel A and Emergency Channel B on repeaters or just simplex channels
also i have put these channels on my Uniden UHO78SX, but i cant transmit on these channels. is there a way to transmit on these channels?

Re: FESA frequencies
They are simplex channels.
They are for inter agency communications mainly between SJA and SES, I haven't seen them in the fire trucks, Police may also have access to them.
Hence your inability to transmit on them.

Re: FESA frequencies
The new WAERN radios have the two channels programmed. Last I heard Police had access too.Tyranus wrote:They are simplex channels.

They are licensed channels. Of course you can't transmit on them with a UHF CB!BuddahFRS wrote:are the Emergency channel A and Emergency Channel B on repeaters or just simplex channels

Country career FRS use the radio which links them via telephone to coms, in the same way coms will contact them when they are off station by dialing into their CCS. They will use the phone in the pump if cannot get through on radio.
The FRS Ch1 and Ch2 are used for special incidents e.g. Confined space rescue or USAR
They are also often used when main channels are busy
hope this helps
Re: FESA frequencies
does anybody know the freqs for the fire call pagers? i was in vfrs norseman and we had the swissphone fire pager that used to sent a tone and then a message on the i think on 76mhz this was from comcen to our pagers so we new there was a fire is there any way to recive these via a scanner in perth wa?
Re: FESA frequencies
Country pagers - 76.550MHz
Metro pagers - via a standard commercial pager frequency and provider
