Re: FESA frequencies
I found 164.025 to be the best one for everything so far.

Re: FESA frequencies
Something was a bit strange about 6ish. I could here comcen but not the other callers, then I could here local callers (south of perth) but not north. Something was up, but this morning it was ok.chrissss wrote:im pretty sure they split 6ip/6ar last night

Re: FESA frequencies
I would say they are testing the radio towers at night when there is less traffic than during the day.
Re: FESA frequencies
when is the WAERN network come into play. and what is happening with the usual 100 channels on the TAITS?
can the TAIT's be reprogrammed for the WAERN network?
can the TAIT's be reprogrammed for the WAERN network?

Re: FESA frequencies
It's already running to an extent. Great Southern already is well under way, Perth has a number of repeaters operating. The rest of the state will take time. The VHF mid band will be "mirrored" by the high band system for some time.BuddahFRS wrote:when is the WAERN network come into play.
They'll probably be around for some time as not all emergency services can have all appliances fitted with radios in a short space of time.BuddahFRS wrote: and what is happening with the usual 100 channels on the TAITS?
The current ones cannot as they operate only on mid-band frequencies (66-88 MHz) and the new WAERN high band frequencies are not within that band (160MHz or so). The new Tait radios can operate on 137-174 MHz.BuddahFRS wrote:can the TAIT's be reprogrammed for the WAERN network?
Hope that helps.
