Re: DFES 6AR
Short answer is no, you can't.Buddy4562 wrote:Is there a way to listen to DFES on the radios you can get for your car, if so is it hard to do
The FM broadcast band goes from 87.5MHz to 108.0MHz. The DFES frequencies are higher than this, up around 164MHz. So your normal car stereo won't tune to those frequencies to begin with.
However, depending on what technology you have in the car with you, you might be able to plug a handheld scanner into the car's "AUX" port and do it that way, or stream the audio via one of the scanner apps on a smartphone and connect to your car's stereo via Bluetooth.

Or plug a small FM transmitter into the output of the scanner, and tune to it when you want to listen to the scanner. If you do it right, you can hide the scanner and little tunecast or something in the glovebox.

Re: DFES 6AR
Not usually. If the radios have any scanning function at all, 9 times out of 10 the scanner only does 401-519Mhz, not the 160~169Mhz that DFES use for 6AR.
Best to equip a smaller scanner like a Uniden EZI30XLT or something along those lines. Battery operated, whack it into your cup holder, and relax.

Re: DFES 6AR
Give 162.6 MHz a try. That's the frequency for the repeater in Two Rocks.Buddy4562 wrote:I bought the Uniden EZI30XLT scanner but can't seem to get the right frequency. Any suggestions for yanchep, i have checked the big list as well.

Re: DFES 6AR
I can only get 162.6250 even though it says 162.6
Re: DFES 6AR
I have figured out how to manually change the .6250 to.6000 so will se if that works just waiting for a transmission
