Spoke to boys on shift at ARFF yesterday and they knocked out the diesel fire with monitor within a minute...

3rd-4th alarm Gt Eastern Highway. 2 top floor units involved.
Welshpool 2nd, Belmont, Perth CLP, Belmont ICV, Osborne Park SET and DM Perth all in attendance. At least 6 in BA.

3RD Alarm Structure Fire early this morning - Melville Civic Centre on Almoundbury Road, Melville - approx 06:20.

From what I heard;

Few others I didn't catch, all under control within half an hour - approx $1M in damage. Possibly Aircon fault.

Multiple structures and Caravan fully involved

LOCATION: 6050 Werribee Road and possibly Harper Road.

Wundowie 2.4 first to arrive - Code 8-8 made 3rd Alarm
Mt.Helena 3.4 BFB enroute

Midland Pump and LT FRS enroute 09:51

DM Darling Range enroute - 10:00

DM Darling Range requested - SITREP

SITREP from IC at incident - 2 x Caravans - LOST/DESTROYED; 1 x Structure House - LOST/DESTROYED; further assets under threat crews working to protect sheds etc. 10:19 WAPOL Arson Squad are already in attendence.

3RD ALARM INDUSTRIAL RESCUE

Location: 260 Kalamunda Road, South Guildford - BrikMakers (cross of Great Eastern Hwy Bypass).

Incident: Person trapped in Machinery

TIME: 11:24

Units enroute:
- Midland Pump and LT
- Bassendean Pump and LT
- Welshpool 2nd Pump and LT

11:32 - Midland arrived code 6-6; SJA in attendence.
11:34 - Bassendean arrived making contact.
11:35 - Welshpool 2nd arrived making contact.
11:43 - Welshpool 2nd requesting CLP to assist "Fire Call Conditions" to assist with extricating of person.
11:45 - Perth CLP now responding FIRE CALL to assist.
11:52 - Bassendean advises person is stable with assistance of SJA, still require CLP to extricate - person is 8-10 meters above ground on a Conveyor Belt.
11:55 - Bassendean has assumed the IC position - UPGRADED to 3RD ALARM; DM Darling Range enroute.

(MOVED TO 3RD ALARM or HIGHER from Other Incidents) 11:56

12:00 - Bassendean has organised an escort for the CLP to locate the incident location quicker.
12:08 - Bassendean reports CLP arrived making contact - Perth 3RD now being requested for use of Hydraulic Equipment - "FIRE CALL" - Bassendean further reports hole will be required to be cut in order to extricate person to CLP platform - 10 meter height. MLO has arrived making contact.

12:13 - DM Darling Range arrived now assuming control - Incident now called "Kalamunda Road Rescue Control" - Requests Ambulance Manager to attend and further ambulance - 2 casualties in total now - one of which is suffering shock. Chaplain enroute.

12:24 - Perth 3RD arrived making contact.
12:25 - Bassendean reports to 6AR - CLP is now established and working to cut access into structure to prepare for extrication.
12:37 - Bassendean advises that extrication is now underway from structure/converyer to CLP platform.

FINAL SUMMARY: Crews have successfully extricated injured person utilising Perth CLP. In hands of Ambulance - All crews except Welshpool 2nd heading to Midland CFRS station for debrief. Incident was further upgraded to 4TH ALARM during the course of the DM's arrival.

"A homeless woman was killed after being hit by a train at Bayswater Station last night.

A police spokesman said the 37-year-old was trying to climb on to the platform from the train tracks when she was struck by an incoming train.
