Findings found
1.The on site Volunteer Fire Marshals did a fantastic Job.Fire was out within 22 seconds
2.The driver who shot his mouth off with negative comments about the Volunteer Fire Marshals bought the sport into disrepute and was given a formal caution
3.That after veiwing the spectator video it was realised the first fire marshal on scene did infact stop for 2 seconds to assess the situation.Chanel 7 camera locations infact made it look like he stopped for 30 seconds. The first fire marshal was a critical care triage nurse who assesses all day long at work.
4.Each team has 2 fully trained fire marshals. With 32 car that means 64 team fire marshal. Some jumped the fence but the spectator footage shows them jumping the fence after the first fire marshal empties his first fire extinquisher

The only negative to come from it was the fact the club that promotes the event did not have enought fire extinguishers in pit lane (they were doubled for the next event). And the fact the fire team leader failled to jump the pit wall.Hes no longer on the fire crew.

I as Chief Fire Rescue Marshal for the complex changed the fire chase procedures and we now chase with two fire utes.

The WA Sporting Car Club was not happy with the medical contractors and St John Ambulance took over at the next event

Karl,The Driver was not on fire.He was jumpping about as his hands were burnt as the 150lt of race fuel burns 40% faster and hotter than your standard car fuel.

One of the team's crew stopped dropped rolled Karl as thats what they are trained to do
