Hmmm, traces of drugs on a bank note. That's not worth a fanny full of cold water as far as the law goes.. There's a pretty good chance Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan has traces of drugs on either banknotes in his wallet, or in his wallet itself.

Yeah... in fact any of us could have traces of drugs on money in our pockets. Who knows where the money came from that you have in your wallet - unlikely, but I think this is where 'beyond reasonable doubt' comes in, doesn't it?

I still can't help feeling sorry for the guy. His return to football conditions, while confidential, can't have been broken in this incident. The drug charges have been dropped, he hasn't failed a drug test (sure, he refused driver assessment, but that is for the court to decide, not the WCE to punish over without a court appearance or a conviction) and the only thing he is guilty of at this stage is media attention. Wouldn't the cops have been better off to book him for wreckless driving, if they truthfully believe they had reasonable grounds to make the stop and search the vehicle based on their (probably incorrect) 'erratic driving' claim? At least they wouldn't look as silly as they do now.

It seems many people are too busy trying to find reason to crucify him. Driving without a shirt, couldn't walk properly, had female passengers, viagra, oxycotin - none of this is illegal!

The WCE buckled under pressure from the AFL. In the old days of real AFL, no club would've hung one of their star players out to dry like this. But I guess the corporate fatboys in Australian Rules football is all about the money these days... not about the players.

I've looked for every reason in the past myself to make fun of Cousins. And now I can't help feel sorry for him, and I do wish him the best... because I don't think he deserves the harassment or clear victimization he is receiving at the moment.

Jesus, I can't believe I just said that.

Hahaha. No, just feel sorry for the poor bastard. Credibility plays a big part in this sort of shit, and he obviously has none. And when the time comes that he probably is innocent, people only remember the bad things.

I guess some of us are more forgiving.

Sorry fellas been reading this thread from the start.

Their is a phrase out there called....'Innocent until proven guilty'....

I don't care for football one bit and I don't follow the WCE or Dockers so I'm of a pretty open mind.

Ben Cousins has already been tried and found guilty by the media regardless which is wrong just read some of the shit that has appeared in the 'West Australian' this week, inside cover etc...and on Ch7 etc..

The media has noose ready and waiting around his neck for most of 2007.

Reading back thru this thread some it appears that some WARSUG members need to be reminded of the 'Innocent until guilty' saying also, some pretty harsh comments have been made by a number of members.

Let's not be weak and go back and edit our threads now after the facts either now..

Talk about kicking someone whilst their down.

Feel free to disagree I've got very broad shoulders.

Still funnier about this whole situation is that some of the prescription drugs 'allegedly' found on him/person are use for withdrawal from addiction....

I thought he was guilty, purely based on media comments. How much of an idiot to you think I feel.

There is always two sides of the story. Just think how Mr Mallard, Mr Rayney, Mr Button and Mr Cousins feel. WAPOL have made some big mistakes in the past. Trial by media is not the appropriate forum especially if you only get one side of the story and only half of each story.
