Like I said in my previous post it is NOT an auxiliary pump. 2.4s that are live drive ie run off a PTO have an auxiliary pump in case the PTO breaks down or the truck itself breaks down. This enables the firefighters to keep fighting the fire or protect themselves. In the case of the 4 Career 2.4s they do not have a live drive. They have a Gaam pump. An Auxiliary pump is supplementary to the main pump. The Hino 2.4s only have one pump. No where in the training manual does it mention auxiliary pumps.
ok i didnt say Auxiliary Pump. i said Auxiliary MOTOR which is used to drive the pump
http://www.fesa.wa.gov.au/internet/?Men ... tentID=265even tho this is for the GPA/HSR, these do not have PTO, so there is a aux motor to drive the pump. and this even says Aux Engine under 'APPLIANCE SPECIFICATIONS'

Medium Tanker
http://www.fesa.wa.gov.au/internet/?Men ... tentID=261all 3 of these trucks are not PTO or Line Drive, and like i said it mentions 'Auxiliary engine' to drive the pump.
i know that some of the 2.4U are PTO, and also have an Aux Motor and Pump to use while pump and roll.
