Personally I don't see the point. It doesn't provide any extra safety and is intrusive to your day to day duties. Lets crank the broken record up again. All metro districts and crime portfolios are now on digital talkgroups. There is no area left in the metro area that is using the analogue channels. The reason you can still here the main consoles is that they are still patched through to the analogue repeaters...
