Yes, but a private charity shouldnt be tasked with enforcing animal welfare it should be done by an accountable government agency. This is currently happening with the Dept of Agriculture but RSPCA Inspectors should be abolished.
Its also interesting to note how people are against Wilson guards having law enforcement power but don't have a problem with the RSPCA (a private charity) having enforcement power under the Animal Welfare Act.
Thats interesting, so what was the role of the Railway Security Officer that Chubb provided? Were they like a quasi-transit officer with limited powers or were they there more to assist the SC's?
Its interesting how things have changed over the years in various law enforcement roles but especially WAGR/PTA. I was under the impression that a lot of the SC's were Chubbies but evidently not, thanks for clearing that up for me! So basically the Wilson guys are nothing more than scarecrows?
Is that right? I saw it on the news the other day as well lol they look more and more like cops everytime I see them! I can see it happening thought, Chubb used to be Special Constables on the Railways. Hows the youngin anyway mate?
Very thorough Ex - Connie. What I was actually curious about was the ranking worn on the epaulettes of the Wilson Bus Security Guards. However I think I know some of the people you make reference too in your post
Did anyone see the Transperth Security officers on the news tonight? Noticed they were wearing epaulettes with ranking similar to the police. Anyone have any idea what each rank indicates?
I heard on the news yesterday that the government has set aside money for 150 Auxiliary Police and Civilian Crime Experts. Does anyone have any idea what these roles will entail??
