Yes, I made contact with the ISS about 5 min ago. I was talking with Slipknot on echolink when we both heard 2 SSTV transmissions. After the second SSTV transmission is when Richard put out his call on voice. Signals were excellent. Towards the end he then called in a VK3. Needless to say, MM-SSTV ...

Don't forget there are some strong SES units in the area as well Well I'm glad someone remembered that the SES are a part of FESA! Not sure in what Rockingham specifically offers but generally a unit is split into 2 parts, rescue and operations. It's up to you to decide whether you're fit enough fo...

I didn't hear the drop-out this morning that some reported. 6RUF sounded good to me. I had dreadful reception this morning, on both the handheld radio and the scanner listening on VK6RAP. I've spent this arvo (well, part of it) re-running the earth to the HF and moving the scanner's antenna - I'll ...

Shame about the weather though.
I heard one of the "deceased" was shivering. Obviously no fun being a "deceased" casualty on a cold wet day.

Good pictures Slipknot.
