My sources from inside the WAPOL comms has advised me that ALL areas will be APCO 25 Encrypted. But, the most sensitive dept.'s will be getting encryption first then so on and so forth as the rollout continues along with the testing.

From what I understand of the software on these radios the only bandwith limitation is your antenna No that is incorrect. The XTS5000 and XTL5000 Motorola radios which are being utilised on the new system are still restricted to the bandsplit in which they were manufactured for. EG - A XTS5000 Mode...

Yes, i agree. Digital is the way to go. I use several digital radios and have done so for 4-5 years and have never looked back at FM. You just cant compare the 2.
