Is that one of the last acco pumps they bought (mid 90's) that was based in the country? ie like Bunbury's that was replaced last year with the UPHR. Do city pumps have bull bars? I'm assuming its used now as a summer spare, like the 2 series 3 MP'S at the rear of Welshpool station.
Re: Perth CLP
Nice photos & nice looking unit. Whilst i do understand why they went for the smaller 6x4 chassis (tight city streets) i would have thought FESA would be looking at "higher" bronto's than the F32. Qld, NSW & ACT have F44's & VIC,SA have F42's. I did read something on the Press ...

Did a double take when i saw them riding thru Carousel carpark on Wednesday morning. They flew up ramp next to Myer - going too fast to see!written_ficton wrote:Two 4 - Wheel ORVs spotted today along Manning Road with Police onboard. Anyone know what callsigns they are?

Yeah looks like the transits are just for mass "troop" transport to the front line.

Yeah sorry, my bad. I just thought as the video was loaded onto you tube on the 29th that it wasn't today! If lots of people heard it, they'll be right. Must be some type of you tube time machine dovalackie!!!

Re: Truck on fire in Nedlands today...
It happened on Friday 27th Jan - right at the start, the battery under the drivers seat explodes, then the handbrake cable melts & you can see what happens! Driver had been out for a while - as you can see the bonnet is up.

Re: W.A Fire Appliances
A company around Perth called Welltech has Mercedes-Benz Axor's 1833 4 x 4. Nice looking units. They have a GVM of 18000kg's compared to the Isuzu FTS of 13000kg's. Would make a good (but expensive) unit. Saying that, the Isuzu's are a bloody good truck though!

Yeah, still used as a spare. I quite often see it sitting inside Murdoch FS when driving past. Its good to see that they still keep these specialised vehicles because you never know! O'conner workshop does have some interesting stuff hanging around there.

Saw another 12.2 half way thru its build today. How many is that now? - at least 8? (not counting the Oakford 9.2 prototype which is quite different to the newer ones!)

Re: Various stuff
SM 04 has been parked next to the rear sheds at Canningvale FS for about a week. Looks like they were doing training there last week as all the pods were in the yard. The Isuzu seems to still be there aswell. Not sure if that will be permently there though!HL 101 wrote:SM 04 What station does that belong to?

Re: W.A Fire Appliances
spotted a FESA landcruiser trayback on kwn fway this arvo. Painted red with yellow reflective striping & red/blue peanuts. Magnetic yellow reflective signage said Tree Felling Operations. Looks like a new use for a old LT - just a toolbox & vice set up in the tray. Sorry no photos, i was too...

I guess someone forgot to tell this guy about the guidelines huh . http://mattau.smugmug.com/photos/i-LQgmHJN/0/XL/i-LQgmHJN-XL.jpg I've seen that truck around aswell. Its a s/h import from japan, so it might have come with that lightbar. Makes me think that the red section might not actually work ...
