Great, the police get to be nannies as well!! I agree with not smoking in a car with kids in it, but you can't enforce a zero smoking ban or we'll have police booking themselves...seen a few WAPOL vehicles at night where the officers were having a quick smoke driving between jobs. Better add...a was...

Yep it was an accident, the officer was directing traffic and was hit by a car that didn't stop in time. Looked like half the district vehicles were there. All the guys standing around and no one directing traffic, heaps of traffic problems.

They'll probably get off using the old excuses of "affected by drugs, has a drug problem" or the really good one "they come from a broken home". Any excuse as long as it gets them off. Give the guards 15 minutes unrestricted access to meter out the punishment...send a real message.

The use of scanners is not illegal unless you use it to commit a crime. What you are doing is wasting police time and efforts. Hope they catch you. ](*,)

I just sent an email back to the ministers, thanking them for their "personal" reply. Also asked them why the minister wasn't capable of attending the Police Officer of the Year due to a "Cabinet" meeting, but could turn up at the Eagle's ceremony. Doubt if I'll get a response. :...

Just recieved this today... Thank you for your email regarding our police officers and the current pay negotiations. The Premier has asked me to reply to you on his behalf. It has taken too long for our officers, who do a great job for the community, to receive a pay increase. Despite improvements t...

Nah, nothing to do with the pay dispute, I've regularly seen unmarks in there or the 24hr shop in Rivervale late at night/early morning. Just central places to get a quick coffee and feed.

The government will probably force the union into the arbitration tribunal and given the way the tribunal works, the government will probably win. :( Bad news for the front line. Everyone knows only politicians are allowed pay rises untested by anything but a government controlled commitee.
