NT Police have Auxillary Police and have done for years, they do things like Watch House, Comms and Front Counter duties.

I would say go with the Revenue Protection Officer job mate, at least that way you'll become familiar with the offences under the PTA Act and Regs and you'll get to know some of the supervisors etc from the Transit Officers Office which may help you down the track. I am pretty sure a HERO Patrol would not fall under the definition of a Fire Appliance and thus would not give a hoot what FESA thought.

I heard the TOC was no longer doing these duties due to insurance and safety reasons and like everything else, the duties have been punted back to the Police to carry out.
